Decanter centrifuges manufactured in India

The separation of the liquid and solid parts of the substance is one of the most important processes in many industries. Therefore, the invention of decanter centrifuges was an important innovation in the industrial world.

The decanter centrifuge consists of a drum and a screw conveyor rotating at high speed and a drive group providing the necessary power. The solid particles are separated from the liquid by centrifugal force. The solid phase of the suspension is deposited on the walls of the drum and fed to the discharge zone by an auger.

Two-phase and three-phase decanter centrifuge

Now almost universally known as a decanter centrifuge, the spiral discharge solid mixing centrifuge has indeed become the workhorse for a wide range of liquid-solid separation operations. Solid-drum centrifuges have operated on the same basic principle since the 19th century. These machines provide the advantages of high clarification efficiency and maximum dewatering, as well as liquid separation with simultaneous removal of solids.
